Thanksgiving & Santa 5K
This past weekend I ran my second real 5K. The first one on was Thanksgiving Day, it was cool and had been raining, and since this was a unfamiliar course, I took it easy, and finished in a respectable 31:38, that ended up 7 out of 9, my age group had some of the fastest guys in it. A small side note, i did fall the Friday before this race, chipped a tooth and had to go the the dentist to get everything fixed. Daniel O’Kelly ran the race with me and finished 2nd in his age group (20-24).
The Santa 5K was a race that I ran on my own, Daniel was dealing with Shin splints, and we talked that one race wasn’t with him getting hurt worse. This course was also new for me, but rather simple, other than the never ending hill heading into Mile 1. My times paced out pretty even and coming in 31:27 and a overall 3rd place in my age group, i was super happy with my times.
My weight is continuing to come off slowly and i currently sitting at 203.4, just a few pounds to One-derland.
